Overview

StoreDash operates an independent directory of specialty and climate-controlled self-storage facilities. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit storedash.example or submit a quote request, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We collect the minimum data needed to run the directory and respond to renter inquiries; we do not sell personal data.

Information we collect

When you browse the directory, our servers log standard request metadata — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and referer. We use this for security monitoring, performance analytics, and abuse mitigation. When you submit a quote request, we collect your name, email, phone, requested unit size, and any free-text notes you include. When you submit a listing edit or contact us, we collect the contents of your message and the contact details you choose to share.

How we use your information

Quote requests are forwarded to the relevant facility or facilities along with your contact details so they can reach out with availability and pricing. We retain a copy of the request for our internal records and to follow up on lead quality. We use aggregate site analytics to understand which pages and categories are most useful and to prioritize directory improvements. We use your contact details to respond to messages you initiate.

Sharing

We share quote-request details only with the storage facility or facilities you select or that match your stated location. We use third-party service providers for hosting, analytics, and ad delivery; these providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations. We disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of StoreDash, our users, or others.

Cookies and analytics

We use first-party cookies for session continuity and lightweight preferences. Our analytics provider sets its own cookies to measure traffic patterns. We display ads through Google's advertising network, which may set additional cookies for ad personalization and frequency capping. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; opting out of advertising cookies will not affect your ability to use the directory.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, request deletion, or opt out of marketing follow-up at any time by emailing privacy@storedash.example. We respond within 30 days. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA; EU and UK residents have rights under the GDPR. We honor these rights regardless of jurisdiction.

Security

We use standard transport encryption (TLS) for all web traffic and limit access to renter-submitted data to staff members who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if you become aware of a security issue, email security@storedash.example.

Changes

We may update this policy as the directory and applicable laws evolve. Material changes will be posted to this page with a revised effective date.
